A TURNSTILE is a form of  a gate which allows one person to pass at a certain time. It  can restrict and allow passage only to people who present a valid credential which can come in many forms.  Some common solutions used would be an RFID  card, a fingerprint or a face ID.  These would just have to be matched with readers which can work well with your chosen Access Control System.  As long as these are enrolled in the Access Control System, the system can determine if a credential presented is valid for entry.
