MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC’S DOAS SYSTEM optimizes multi-car elevator systems by allocating cars efficiently according to the floors that passengers input while waiting in the hall, helping to reduce both wait and travel times.  The system can work with the original lift integration protocol from Mitsubishi using the Elevator Link Interface Processor also referred to as E-LIP or the newer protocol using the Mitsubishi ELSGW called ELSGW – Elevator-Security Gateway.

The smart lift integration with the access control means that you can restrict access to the cardholder via time schedules and floors or destinations, increasing security and efficiency of movement around the building.  Another way to describe it is that : Elevator Destination Control Systems are automated systems that optimize the use of elevators in multi-story buildings. THE OPERATION:

With DOAS integration, the cardholder operation can work in the following ways:

1.) The passenger waves an ID card over the reader in the turnstile, so after the card is waved over the reader, an LCD display panel shows the user the designated elevator going to that floor. There is no need to enter the floor number manually.

2.) The passenger waves an ID card over the card reader in the hall and then enters an authorised floor number.

3.) The user’s floor is preregistered in the ID card, so after the card is waved over the reader, the panel directs the user to the elevator going to that floor.  There is no need to enter the floor number manually.
